  • Easter bonnet parade and Egg decoration competition

    Tue 19 Mar 2019

    Dear Parents/Carers

It is that time of year again when eggs are decorated and bonnets are made. The support that you gave last year was amazing, so we thought we would repeat it again. So get those scissors and glue ready to let the creativity flow.

As part of our Easter celebrations at Lumbertubs this year we invite all children to either decorate their own Easter bonnet or decorate a hard-boiled egg to celebrate Easter. This event is loved by the children and the best eggs and bonnets are the ones which the children have tried hard to create themselves, so please encourage them to demonstrate their artistic flair at home.

The bonnet parade and egg judging will take place on the morning of Friday 5th April during our Easter assembly. The competition will be judged by an impartial judge who has the difficult task of picking the winner from each class. Parents are invited to come and view the bonnet parade at 9:15 am in the hall and share in our choral performances.

We kindly ask that all decorated eggs are brought into school the day before the parade (Thursday 4th April) so that we are able to give the judges sometime to deliberate before our award presentation.

Bonnets are welcome to be worn the morning of our parade to share and show off around the school!

Many thanks for all of your hard work!

    Yours sincerely,

  • Easter non-uniform day

    Tue 19 Mar 2019

    19th March 2019

    Non-uniform Day

    Dear Parents/Carers

We are holding an Easter Parade this term and are hosting a non-uniform day (wear your favourite clothes) to support our fund raising for the school Pantomime in December 2019. We have made a good start and our pot now contains £620, we need to raise an additional £2380 to make this possible.

Children can dress in non-uniform on Friday 29th March. Below is a list of items for each year group in which children can bring into school to participate on the day.

All donations will be used for our school Easter Assembly which will be held on Friday 5th April at 9.15am in the hall. We will be holding raffles to support our fundraising for the Pantomime and to support the end of year celebrations for year 6. Tickets will be on sale from the 1st April and will be available from the library in the mornings only, tickets are £1.00 a strip.

Thank you for your continuing support
